This piece is acrylic paint on canvas, within a repainted thrifted frame. The artist explores the concept of forgiveness in a mother-daughter relationship through the symbolism of a nostalgic peace lily plant, potted in a 90's-style woven basket against a striped background. The leaves of the plant continue onto the frame, continuing to grow. This piece has a secret on the back -- the original artwork from when I thrifted the piece!
