Natalie brings 17 years of experience in education leadership to a new format: leading art workshops for adults! As an art workshop leader, Natalie creates a safe, inclusive, welcoming space for adults to connect (or reconnect) to their innate creativity, exploring techniques and materials to create a custom art piece by the end of the class.
Natalie has been leading highly popular (and sold out!) art workshops in local spaces in Maplewood & South Orange, New Jersey. She is opening her schedule to now offer these workshops more widely in NYC or northern NJ - let's books yours now, and create together!
Adult Art Workshops, Booking Now!
Abstract Floral Painting - in this workshop, Natalie uses fresh flowers to model a simplified process of sketching, abstracting, and painting a floral design on an 8x10 canvas and matching to a painted, thrifted frame. All participants create their own art work -- no paint by number or paint & sip model here! -- inspired by their own unique and expression. Natalie provides all paint materials and frames. Thrifted Glassware Painting - in this workshop, Natalie models a technique to paint simplified designs onto sets of thrifted glassware using enamel paint. The glasses can be "cured" by baking in a standard oven once dry, making the paint permanent, and the glass designs dishwasher safe. Natalie provides all paint materials and glassware. How long are Adult Art Workshops?
Adult Art Workshops should be booked for 2.5-3 hours total.
A typical agenda includes:
- 1 hour before event - Natalie arrives, sets up all spaces
- 0:00-0:30 - Guests arrive, are welcomed in, find their seats and snacks.
- 0:30-1:00 - Natalie welcomes all guests, leads an introduction to the art materials, and models techniques to start with. She launches all guests into getting started !
- 1:00-2:00 - Natalie circulates, checking in with each guest to praise their progress and offer suggestions if desired. Each guest is their own creative director and all of their art choices are right!
- 2:00-2:30 - Natalie models finishing the art piece, and provides tips and instructions for displaying at home and continuing with the materials if desired.
- 2:30-3:00 - Natalie circulates, helping all guests finish and appreciate their piece. Group photo before guests leave!
How do I book!? Workshop Types & Fees
- Local Workshop: For any workshop within 10 miles of Maplewood, NJ (07040) the workshop fee is $1500 for up to 15 participants, plus $80 for each additional participant.
- Northern NJ or NYC Workshop: For any workshop beyond Maplewood, in Northern NJ or NYC (within 1 hour of 07040), the workshop fee is $2000 for up to 15 participants, plus $100 for each additional participant.
- Non-Profit or Educational Teams: A discount may be available for non-profit or educational teams. Include this in your inquiry form, and Natalie will discuss!
How do I book!?
Start the booking process by completing the inquiry form here. Natalie will reach out to confirm date, location, logistics. A 50% deposit for the event total will be due to book and hold the date, and the remaining 50% will be due 3 days before the event.
Where can I book?
Natalie is located in Maplewood, NJ. She is offering workshop bookings within a 1-hour radius -- in either Northern NJ, or any location in NYC. Reach out if you'd like to chat! Hosts are responsible for providing the workshop location -- must include table seating for all participants, and access to a bathroom/sink. Hosts may also choose to provide food, drinks for guests, beyond the booking fee.
Cancellation Policy:
Unfortunately, due to the time and effort to plan creative Adult Workshops, refunds are not possible if your plans change. Natalie may be able to accommodate rescheduling, if notification is at least 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, booking is final.
