Chesapeake Bay Reeds

This piece is inspired by beach reeds on the sands of the bay where I grew up, in Southern Virginia. This is a place of great homecoming and comfort for me, and the color scheme of a morning here is part of the inspiration for the overall collection. The reeds and cattails blow in the wind with a white-blue wintry sky behind them. Spring will come soon.
